The Story of Imagine ABQ
ImagineABQ began with a simple yet powerful idea—what if every resident in Albuquerque took pride in their city and worked together to make it more beautiful? This vision came from David, a local chaplain who believed that true transformation happens when communities unite for a common purpose. In the early days, David organized small clean-up events, inviting neighbors to come together and take action. What started as a handful of volunteers quickly grew into a city-wide movement.
Today, ImagineABQ is a recognized 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization with a team of 11 dedicated board members, a growing network of volunteers, and a passion for community-driven change. From large-scale clean-up events to mural projects that highlight Albuquerque's rich cultural heritage, ImagineABQ is committed to making our city cleaner, healthier, and more vibrant for all who call it home.

At ImagineABQ, we envision an Albuquerque where every resident feels a deep connection to their community and plays an active role in preserving and enhancing the city's beauty.
